23 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Hebrews 10:23 NLT
What this verse means to me, is that I must continue professing and speaking out loud my continuous hope for God’s promises. He is perfect, complete, and lacking nothing. The second part of the verse “without wavering” means to continue to have hope and faith, without doubting, without wandering if God will follow through with his plan or promise. The verse has already said “He who promised”, so God has already promised you what you don’t even know about yet. We as humans must submit in knowing that God will follow through with what he has promised, what he is promising, and what he will promise. By reading this singular verse alone it should encourage anyone who doubts in promises. God knows your thoughts and knows your heart. For God to do his part, you must also do yours, which in the verse says, “without wavering…hold fast the confession of our hope”. We must be quick to say, “I have hope” and not dwindle away from the hope of God’s perfect promises.
